Deeper.

That's my word for 2011. It's also my hope, my prayer, and my meditation. I want to go deeper with God, and truly experience His amazing love. I started fasting on 1.9.11 in order to prepare my body spiritually and physically. In just five short days what AMAZING things God has revealed to me. He has moved in ways that I would have never thought were possible. I am finding a new found love in the Bible, i literally cannot put the Book down. I feel as if my fire inside that was snuffed out months ago, has been lit and doused with Holy Spirit lighter fluid! :)

Recently there has been much distress in our Nation. With the shootings in Tucson, Arizona, and a Congresswoman in the hospital I find it at the top of my priority to pray and seek God's healing on everyone involved. I find my own comfort in the book of Isaiah, chapter 40:

"Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, 'My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God?' Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - 40:27-31

This verse give me inspiration and strength to that God is that powerful. And yet, through all of His majestic power and might, He is still as gentle as a lamb, as soft as the morning breeze, and as graceful as an eagle. I cannot help but reach out and cry to Him, giving Him everything that I have for everything that He gave to me.

I can truly say that life is good. But it only gets better from here!
Come quickly Lord Jesus, and give me a DEEPER understanding of your love!
Until next time,

C. M. Shockley
